100 FREE Listings On eBay Coming Soon

I began to sell stuff on eBay starting in July of '09 when they introduced a no listings fee for up to 5 items per seller per month. That FREE feature really attracted me, so I began posting a few things for sale. eBay has announced that as of March 30, 2010, sellers will be able to list up to 100 items every month for free! eBay makes their money by taking 9% of the final sale price , or $50, whichever is less. So far, this year, I am 5 for 5 on items sold and customers paid for. I highly doubt I will find 100 items to sell in the month of April, but it's nice to know that I can list more than 5 items without risk. For those of you that have never sold anything on eBay before, here are a few tips. First, search for the item you are selling on the site to see what others are listing their items for. Second, dust off your item as best you can, place the item on a well-lit clean backdrop and take a clear digital picture of what's for sale. Third, in order not to screw yourself by underestimating shipping charges, I recommend taking your sealed item to your local post office or UPS store and ask for a quote to the farthest point of the country from your location. Shipping charges are not just based solely on the package's weight but also by its girth. Fourth, if you are primarily going to sell small items, I recommend that you order some priority mail flat rate boxes directly from the post office. They'll conveniently deliver them right to your house for FREE, and the shipping is always the same rate no matter how heavy the sucker ends up being. Good luck in clearing out some of your unwanted clutter and turning it into cold hard cash.

For the 100 free auctions

For the 100 free auctions the starting bids must be 1 cent. I'd suggest going this route only if the item you are listing is one that has seen a lot of bidding action in similar auctions or you may just wind up selling it for that 1 cent.
