Now through Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2009, Los Angeles County Department of Public Works (LACDPW) and through financial support from County Supervisor Don Knabe sponsor the free beach shuttle serving Marina del Rey, Venice Beach Pier and Playa Vista.

The shuttle operates Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., and Sundays and Holidays 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. In addition, on Thursdays from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Saturdays, service is provided in conjunction with the Summer Concert Series at Burton Chace Park and to the Abbot Kinney Festival.

The BEACH SHUTTLE service also connects to the Marina del Rey WaterBus, which provides ferry service in Marina del Rey.
